My name is Arianna...

Dolce Idea has been a dream in my drawer for a long long time, when baking was only for weekends, as I would be spending most of my week in an office.

And that's when all began... I started running Dolce Idea in January 2018 while being a full-time mummy and having a corporate job.

While on this sweet journey I took a leap and decided, at the end of 2018, to follow my heart, moving away from making traditional cakes covered in fondant and sugar paste decorations and I decided to specialise in simple elegant designs, fabulous flavours & anything buttercream.

In March 2019 I've joined the big family of the Royal Arsenal Farmer's Market and that was the best decision ever. I have realised that making cakes was good, but meeting customers week after week and be able to be creative on my preparations was really the top. At that point baking quickly began a “family affair”. We started trialling so many treats. So many that I've now lost count.

Thanks to all our local events our business has evolved and we now specialise in delicious artisan treats baked in small batches. We are really passionate about what we do and we only choose the best ingredients to make our bakes: we order free range eggs from a local farm in Kent, we use the best flour, only British butter, and responsibly sourced fair-trade chocolate. Our brownies, blondies, rocky roads, flapjacks and cookies are all strictly made by hand, one by one, and that’s what make them so special and absolutely delicious.

They say our Brownies are the real stuff :) But we promise to pour the same amount of love in each one of our bakes.

When 2020 went completely bonker and only essential markets were going ahead, we decided to add an extra challenge to our local event. We started delivering locally and the response was just great! The amazing feedback from a huge group of loyal and regular customers got us thinking that it was about time, and in 2021... We decided to give it a go and go postal! So that everybody around UK will be able to taste our yummy treats!

The home baking studio went through a nice refurbishment (thank you husband!!) and it has been certified for business use. We have been last inspected in August 2020 by the Borough of Greenwich and they awarded Dolce Idea a 5* Food Safety score.
